Medical, Dental, & Legal Programs in Jackson County and Southern Oregon
  • CASA of Jackson County, Inc (541-734-2272 ~ Pre-K-High School)
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Jackson County is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization that recruits, trains and supports volunteers, every day citizens, as appointed members of the court. The social welfare system is overburdened, which can result in abused and neglected children slipping through the cracks. CASA volunteers can help change that. As stated in Oregon State Statute 419B.170, a CASA volunteer shall be appointed by a juvenile court judge to each dependent ward of the court. CASA volunteers provide the one constant in a child's life that is needed to help them thrive.

  • Center for Non Profit Legal Services, Inc (541-779-7292 ~ Pre-K-High School)
The Center for Non-Profit Legal Services, Inc. (CNPLS) brings legal structure and resolution to social problems, which may be spiraling out of control, by providing high quality civil legal representation to low-income and elder residents of Jackson County. Clients include individuals or families living at or below 125 percent of the federal poverty level and/or are over 60, who are struggling with problems such as domestic violence, homelessness and hunger. Our clients frequently lack appropriate physical and mental health care and may have language and cultural barriers. We concentrate our efforts on protecting their right to access high priority survival needs: food, shelter, medical care, income maintenance, immigration, protective services and domestic relations cases involving disputes with children and/or child or spousal abuse.
